  • Gordon M. Brown, Chairman. Mr. Brown is a retired Ford Motor Company research engineer. He and his wife live in Timarron. (Term expires 2012)


  • Frank Garofalo, Treasurer. Mr. Garofalo is a retired Ford Motor Company Executive. He and his wife live in Marsh Links. (Term expires 2010)


  • Robert Smith, Supervisor. Mr. Smith is a retired real estate and development partner from Virginia. He and his wife live in Gables. (Term expires 2012)


  • Gordon Walker, Supervisor. Mr. Walker is a retired financial executive from Canada. He and his wife live in Ravenna. (Term expires 2010)


The District employees a professional manager who oversees the employees and contracts providing service to the community.
  • W. Neil Dorrill serves as District Manager and has 30 years of public administration and community management experience. Mr. Dorrill has a Masters degree in Public Administration and previously served as county manager for Collier County, Florida.


  • John Vanover has served as Operations Manager since 2005. Mr. Vanover is responsible for the day-to-day operations. He has a degree in Horticulture from the University of Florida and a background in District Maintenance.


  • Tony Pires served as the District's Attorney since 1993. Mr. Pires received his J.D. degree from Florida State University and specializes in Land Use, Zoning, Local Government Law, and Real Estate.
